Horses

Asher

Asher

Newest member of the farm. Three year old Quarter Horse gelding. Only being used currently for unmounted lesson until he is a little older. He loves meeting new people and making friends.

Dixie

Dixie

This is Dixie, our longest tenured horse here at Saving Grace. We have owned Dixie now for almost 16 years, with a year break when we actually sold her, then were able to buy her back! Dixie is a 17 year old Quarter Horse mare, and has been a stalwart for all of our Special Olympics Equestrian Team programs since 2012. She loves treats and going slow.

Baby

Baby

As sweet as her name sounds. A retired barrel horse that loves scratches and little kids.

Prince

Prince

Before he was donated to us, Prince was an Amish school bus. No, really! He pulled the wagon that picked up the Amish children for school! He is our steady eddy boy, he is the one we'll put anyone on. He loves treats, but like a lot of us, has to watch his sugar!

Asti

Asti

Here is Asti, our "Appalachian Warmblood". She is here on a long term lease by her owner, and she's been great! This is her and her rider, Danny, at the 2021 Ohio Special Olympics Equestrian show. She doesn't blink at anything in the ring, and has been fabulous for all the folks that have ridden her.

Preston

Preston

Tall dark and handsome. Preston helps with our lessons while being trained to pull a cart.

Nacho

Nacho

Nacho, short for "He's nacho pony, he's mine", is our ambassador for all things outside the farm. He's been to schools, parks, churches (both inside and outside!), he loves attention and won't say no! Here he is dressed up for Mardi Gras!

Grit

Grit

Grit, also known as Teton's Grit, is a 14 year old former racehorse that won over $13,000 at his last race! While we don't race him anymore here at Saving Grace, his size and long stride lend themselves very well to anyone that wants to ride English. He's a sweet guy that just wants to be loved on, and if he can go slow he likes it!
